Potential Triple Crown Winner
Potential Triple Crown Winner: ROP student Sergio Ramirez (here in class with teacher Vic Vaca) spoke to the LA School Board on March 11 as part of an LAUSD Workforce Presentation.
A Senior at the Santee Friedman Construction Academy, Sergio told Board Members that he has passed the CAHSEE test, is taking classes at LA Trade Technical College, and has completed the A-G requirements for graduation from Santee. "In June, I will get my high school diploma, my career certificate, and soon will have my associate science degree in electric technology," he said. "Because of this opportunity, I will be able to have a good life and show that even an immigrant can reach his own goal," he told Board members, who applauded his accomplishments.
